... to live by its vision statement and corporate slogan Read moreOne of my responsibilities at my new job is to bring in clients. I’ve decided to host a business luncheon next week. We’ve rented out a local restaurant. They have a screen and a projector, so I plan to give a presentation between the main course and dessert. I’ve already put all my slides together. I’ve also ordered personalised napkins. I found a website that sells them online. They come in a variety of colors and I put our corporate slogan on them. That way, even when I’m not presenting, our company will be on our potential clients minds. I’m a little nervous, this will be the largest crowd I’ve presented in front of. My wife does a lot of public speaking and she gave me some great tips. She’s confident that I can get a few new clients. I made sure to book the meeting at my favorite restaurant. So, even if I don’t get any clients, at least I’ll have a good meal!

manhattan where civil lawsuits such as personal injury or contract ...By now everyone has heard about the allege child sex abuse scandals that have rocked Penn State University. Since reports were first leaked a month or so ago, it seems to be more continued bad press for the school. Two shocking things have been revealed to date. The first was that long time football coach and cherished local hero, Joe Paterno, knew about the abuse. It was uncovered that as early as 2002, Paterno was told that former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, had inappropriate relations with young boys at a football camp.

Secondly it was reported that Mike McQuery, an assistant coach of the Nittany Lions, had witnessed an encounter of abuse back in 2002 while a graduate student at the school. Furthermore, both McQuery and Paterno reported that they notified the University President and their superiors about the abuse. However, no calls were made to the police. In the wake of all this information, the school has hired two different law firms and two public relations firms to help handle the situation accordingly.

The school has kept been tight lipped on just how much this addition to the payroll is costing them. With the costs that can be associated with a high end law firm and some of the top PR firms in the nation, it is expected that Penn State could be shelling out millions and millions of dollars. Besides the eight counts of sexual abuse, spanning over 15 years, Penn State is sure to encounter massive amounts of civil law suits.
