Serve at Poiema

It is our privelege and responsibility to serve God by serving one another, as we serve alongside each other to advance God’s Kingdom.  The Scriptures compare the interdependence of those in a Church to the parts of a human body, connected in purposeful unity.  Every Christian is vitally important to the work of the gospel in and through the local church.  At Poiema, there are many ways to serve.  The list below is by no means exhaustive.  If you are interested in serving in any of these areas or if you’d like to volunteer to serve in an area not on this list, please email info@poiemachurch.com.

Set Up/Tear Down Crew

Description:    Set Up Crew arrives early Sunday morning to unload the trailer and help transform the gym into a worshipful space.  Tear down crew would stay after the service to pack up all items and reload the trailer.  Involves a lot of lifting.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours on one or two Sundays a month.  (You are not required to do both set up and tear down on the same day.)

Poiema Kids

Description:    Working with either infants, toddlers or kids during the service.

Time Commitment:  one whole service, one to two times a month

Communion Set up

Description:    Team members will bring bread, wine and juice for communion and arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the service (that’s 9:30 am) to set up the communion stations.  Poiema reimburses for supplies purchased.

Time Commitment:  30 mins, one Sunday a month

Refreshments team

Description:    Team members bring a light snack and set up refreshment table 30 minutes prior to the start of the morning service.  Poiema reimburses for supplies purchased.

Time Commitment:    30 mins, one service a month
